2023: ‘1,000 Cabals Cannot Stop Osinbajo For Running For President’ – APC Chieftain

In readiness for the 2023 Presidential elections,a United States-based Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Segun Ajibulu has said that the challenges being faced by  the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo might have been allegedly designed by some cabals in Aso Rock, stressing that  his chances might be further enhanced.

Chief Ajibulu, a former commissioner of the Pension Commission in Ekiti State who disclosed this in a chat with NAN in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday, September 22, 2019, stated that any move that would relief the Vice President of administrative  burden was actually good for his political career.

“So, when the time comes and Osinbajo says he wants to run, I don’t see anybody who can stand on his way. Even 1,000 cabals cannot stop him from running “he said.

The APC Stalwart said that President Buhari had assigned Osinbajo with many tasks which he said had hardly gave him opportunity to attend to his political matters.

Ajibulu, however agreed that even though many watchers of political events in Nigeria believed that the latest moves by the alleged powers-that be in Aso Rock were meant to gag or render the office of the Vice President irrelevant, saying future events would prove them wrong .

The APC Chieftain disclosed that President Buhari might also be in the know of the current developments .
“Mr. President might want to assist Osinbajo so that he is not tie down unnecessarily in Aso Rock. It would be stupid for anyone to think that Osinbajo would not aspire to be the President. And if he wants to run ,he needs more time to move around. Once they relief him of some tasks ,I think he would have the time to attend to his own matter.

“One bitter truth about our Vice President ,Prof. Osinbajo is that he enjoys wider acceptability among Nigerians. We all know that President Buhari is serving out his second term mandate by 2023. And the wish of every politician is to aspire to higher position of responsibility. So, if Osinbajo is nursing that ambition to succeed Buhari,I dont think it is a crime”

“You can see how he relates with his boss with utmost honesty and sincerity of purpose. And the volume of love and respect he enjoys from the various ethnic blocs in Nigeria is unparalleled. So,for me I don’t think there are plots targeted at him for now.”

On the issue of economy, Ajibulu who described it as a huge task also lauded  President Buhari for setting up the Economic Advisory Council describing  the calibre of people in the team as round pegs in round holes.
