OGUN TO COMMENCE E-LEARNING IN SCHOOLS


Plans are ongoing to digitalise teaching and learning in public primary and secondary schools across Ogun State. 

Speaking at a meeting with representatives of a private company (Vodacom) in Abeokuta , the Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary, Secondary and Technical Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, noted that inclusion of digital technology in school’s management was one of the methods by Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in achieving it’s set goals in the sector. 

Soyombo said the initiative, which was being supported by Vodacom would enable pupils, students, teachers, and other stakeholders access curriculum, e-learning and information through gadgets, such as tablets that would be provided to schools in the State. 

In her remark, an official of Vodacom, Mrs. Wuraola Jinadu, who led the organisation’s representatives, expressed the firm’s willingness to partner Ogun State at ensuring the realisation of qualitative education, without which she said, no meaningful development can be achieved in any nation of the world.
